Carolyn See
Carolyn See is the author of nine books, mostly set in Los Angeles. These include the memoir, Dreaming: Hard Luck and Good Times in America; an advice book on writing, Making a Literary Life: Advice for Writers and Other Dreamers; and novels that include The Handyman, Making History, and most recently, There Will Never Be Another You.
Professor See has served on the boards of the National Book Critics Circle and PEN West International. She has been awarded both the Guggenheim and Getty Center fellowships, as well as the Los Angeles Times Robert Kirsch body of work award. She teaches English at UCLA and writes weekly book reviews for the The Washington Post. A native Californian, she currently lives in Santa Monica.
