LibraryPark: About Us

Our Mission

The West Hollywood Library Fund seeks to improve the quality of life and opportunities for our community’s diverse residents by enhancing their access to information, education programs, technology and each other. Our goal is to raise funds for the construction, programs, collections and aligned community needs of the West Hollywood Library, a civic and cultural landmark.

A Place for Learning, Community and Culture

West Hollywood is opening the door to a new era. The expanded and improved park, modern library facility with cultural and civic space, and additional community parking will ensure that the needs of our residents are met. Together, we will create a place like no other.

LibraryPark will open in Fall 2011 and provide:

  • A library with more than 32,000 square feet of flexible space--a building six ties larger than the existing one
  • State-of-the-art technology, including 47 Internet-equipped computers, a video conferencing room, and wireless network transmission
  • A large meeting space, program and exhibit spaces, and a children's theater
  • Much needed additional parking for visitors of the library, the park and nearby community amenities
  • An open-air court linking the library, the park and San Vicente Boulevard
